I'm updating my CD jazz collection, which I've neglected for a few years listening to my old favorites. It wasn't until I heard Jessica Williams 1996 recording of "Joyful Sorrow," Black-Hawk Records, a tribute to Bill Evans that I got the message that I was extremely out of date.
I've found references to Jamies Cullum, Peter Matz, Clara Teak, Kelli Smi, Diane Kralls' "Sunday," Keely Smith and Babara Cook.
I be grateful for any and all suggestions of new artists in the last 15 years or so, and any older and less visible singers today like Mademoiselle de la Rockfort, Betty Buckley, Bill Eckstine and Sass.
Appreciate your help and expertise!
